Good afternoon Abbeydale Families,

As we wrap up another school year, I want to take a moment to look back on all the fantastic things we've accomplished together.

One of the most rewarding experiences this year was introducing our new Enhanced Educational Supports (EES) class. It's been amazing to welcome these staff and students into the building and have them join our school community. The growth they’ve shown has been great to see!

I’m so proud of the growth from all our students, particularly in literacy and numeracy this year. Your hard work has paid off, and you've all made great progress. Keep it up, because these skills are important for whatever you do next! Field trips have also been a highlight this year! Whether we've been exploring the Calgary Zoo, checking out the Science Centre, or getting involved in the community, these trips have made learning so much fun. A huge “Thanks” goes to our School Council who has supported these experiences along with a number of other projects and initiatives around the school.

I’d also like to acknowledge our amazing staff. Your dedication, professionalism and care for students is truly what makes Abbeydale a great place. Despite any challenges thrown your way, your resilience and determination have been evidence and your focus on supporting students is admirable. To those on staff who are moving on, you will be missed. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to making Abbeydale awesome!

As we get ready to close the chapter on another year, I just want to say how much I've loved being part of Abbeydale School. It's been a privilege being your Principal and I’ll take so many fond memories with me. Even though I'll miss the families, students and staff here, I know Abbeydale School is going to keep being amazing with Ms. Liddell and Mr. Williams.

Have an awesome summer break! Take the time to relax, recharge, and do all the things you love. We’ll see you back here Thursday, Aug. 29th for the first day of the 2024-25 school year!
