Hello Abbeydale School Families!
Thank you to our Grade 2 teachers, Ms. Tsay and Ms. Comeau, and all the parent volunteers for helping make the field trip to the Science Center a success. It is clear that we have some enthusiastic students here at Abbeydale and our school value of Curiosity was on full display!
Thank you to all families and teachers for participating in school conference last Thursday and Friday. When families and teachers work together to support students, their learning and enjoyment of school is greatly enhanced. If you were unable to connect with your child's teacher for any reason, please reach out via email or call the office.
This week we will host our fist Abbeydale Student Advisory Council meeting on Wednesday at lunch. Mr. Rachid and I (Mr. Williams) look forward to meeting with our student leaders and hearing their perspective on how to make Abbeydale School even better.
Winter Hampers and the Abbeydale Food Drive Contest
We are excited to hold a food drive contest at our school. Each classroom will collect non-perishable food items, and the class that collects the most items will receive a pizza party. Financial donations can also be made securely online through the Education Matters link below. Money collected will be put towards gift cards that will be distributed with the winter hampers.

Important Note: If your family is currently facing financial hardship and would benefit from receiving a winter hamper and gift cards this season, please reach out to Mr. Rachid to request support. We kindly ask that only families who are in genuine need of assistance reach out, so that resources can reach those who need them most.

Reminders From the Office:
All visitors must check in at the office.
If you are late dropping your child in the morning, please bring them to the office and a teacher will take them to class.
School Hours:
- Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 2:30pm
- Friday 8:00am - 12:00pm
There is no supervision before 7:50am
Please do not drop off or pick up students in the Bus Parking zone, or in the staff parking lot
Lunch and Snack:
All students should bring a snack from home and lunch if they are staying for lunch. If you are in need of food support, please call the office and we will arrange breakfast and or lunch for your child if there is a financial need.
