Good afternoon Abbeydale School Families,
A short week at school, which was highlighted with Valentine’s Day today. As well, we’ve spent the past couple of days this week with our Elev8 Residency, where students have been able to learn the basics of Lacrosse and get introduced to a new sport. A HUGE “Thank you” to the Elev8 team for offering this residency to our students at no cost! Thanks, Elev8!!
Please see more updates below:
No School Feb 15-16 & 19 (Teachers Convention & Family Day)
There’s NO school Thursday & Friday (Feb. 15-16) as it is Teacher’s Convention. There is also NO school on Monday, Feb. 19 as it’s Family Day. We encourage you to spend time with family, friends and the outdoors!
Pink Shirt Day
Wednesday, Feb. 28 is Pink Shirt Day and we encourage all staff and students to wear PINK! Pink Shirt day is a day when people come together by wearing pink shirts to school or work to show they are against bullying. Staff will be working through different activities next week to promote inclusivity and promote messages of kindness and respect.
CBE | School Planning Survey
Our annual School Planning Survey is now open. Your feedback shapes our decisions as we move forward into each new school year regarding our School Development Plan and School Fees. The survey this year is by design a little short and easier to complete, taking about 4 – 7 minutes. The survey will be open from Feb. 12 – Mar. 21.

Report Cards
Report cards are now available for parents to view through the MyCBE PowerSchool app. A reminder that this will need to be either saved to your computer or printed at home for future reference as report cards are only accessible for a window of time through the PowerSchool application.

Cutlery at Lunch
We’ve seen an increase in the number of students looking for cutlery during the lunch hour. We want to remind families to ensure that you pack any necessary utensils with your child/ren. Thanks!
