Good afternoon Abbeydale School families! Thank you to Mr. Gramlich, Mrs. Hamilton and their classes for their leadership planning and running our Terry Fox Day. It was great to see everyone in their house colors supporting their team and running for a great cause. Collectively our school raised over $400 dollars for Children's Cancer research, which is more than the $1 per person Terry himself set as a goal when he started running. I have said this a lot already but I am very proud to be a part of such a great school!

Alex Dental Bus September 13
The Alex Dental Bus will be providing information to our students about how to have proper dental hygiene and about their upcoming visit to provide dental services to our students.
Picture Day September 17
Mark this day on your calendar! Picture day is Tuesday, September 17.
Retakes will be Tuesday October 8.

School Hours
- Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM – 2:40 PM
- Friday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- There is no supervision before 7:50 AM
Students who wish to play at the park before school may do so provide they follow the school rules
Please do not drop off or pick up students in the Bus Parking zone, or in the staff parking lot
Lunch and Snack
- Lunch rotation 1 11:00 AM – 11:49 AM
- Lunch rotation 2 11:55 AM - 12:44 PM
All students should bring a snack from home. Students who are staying for lunch must bring a nutritious lunch. Students who are going home for lunch must enter through the main doors and check in with the main office when they return. Please call the school office if you are in need of food support!
School Council Casino – Volunteers Needed!
We're on the lead up to our casino that we volunteer at every 18 months. This event is happening on October 23 and 24 at Pure Casino (1420 Meridian Rd NE). The funds that we earn from volunteering reduces the amount of fundraising we have to do at the school for technology and experiences, along with building up savings for a new playground for the future.
We're requiring volunteers for the 38 positions before back up volunteers. There are three shifts each day, 11AM to 7:15 PM, 7 PM to 3:45 AM, 11 PM to 3:45 AM and 6 to 7 volunteers required for each shift. When you're there, our advisor will teach you the position, provide you with a meal and make some connections with other parents from the school.
