Alex Dental Bus  

Alex Dental Bus is at Abbeydale on Wednesday October 2.  If you have received a form already, you can still hand it in to your child’s teacher and have  your child participate. 

School Pictures 

All children brought home a piece of paper from the photographer.   Please follow the instructions on the form to view and order your photos. If you have  questions, please email the photographer (info@primesportsteamphotography.com). Picture retake day is Tuesday October 8.  

Reminders From the Office

Please do not send toys, stuffed animals or electronics to school with your child. We understand that your child may have something that they love more than  anything and want to share it with the class.  However, we ask that these items stay at home for 2 reasons. 1) They can become a distraction to the class and interrupt your child's learning or the learning of others and 2) They can become lost, stolen or damaged.  

School Hours

• Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM – 2:40 PM 
• Friday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM  
• There is no supervision before 7:50 AM
• Please do not drop off or pick up students in the Bus Parking zone, or in the staff parking lot 

Lunch and Snack

• Lunch rotation 1 11:00 AM – 11:49 AM
• Lunch rotation 2 11:55 AM - 12:44 PM
• All students should bring a snack from home 
• Students who are staying for lunch must bring a nutritious lunch.  
• Please send your children with a fork or spoon if needed. The school does not have these items to provide. 
• Students who are going home for lunch must enter through the main doors and check in with the main office when they return. 

Please call the school office if you are in need of food support.

School Council 

School Council Casino – Volunteers Needed! 

We're on the lead up to our casino that we volunteer at every 18 months. This event is happening on October 23 and 24 at Pure Casino (1420 Meridian Rd NE). The funds that we earn from volunteering reduces the amount of fundraising we have to do at the school for technology and experiences, along with building up savings for a new playground for the future. 

We're requiring volunteers for the 38 positions before back up volunteers. There are three shifts each day, 11 AM to 7:15 PM, 7 PM to 3:45 AM, 11 PM to 3:45 AM and 6 to 7 volunteers required for each shift. When you're there, our advisor will teach you the position, provide you with a meal and make some connections with other parents from the school.

East Hills Bottle Depot Ongoing Bottle Drive 

Please take your empty bottles, cans and juice boxes to East Hills Bottle Depot and tell them to put your return in the Abbeydale School Account.  This will help raise money for school events such as field trips and our new park fund.
