Good afternoon Abbeydale School Families,

We hope that all families are staying warm inside during this cold snap! While the weather the past couple of days has been extreme, we want to remind families that school remains open during these cold days. It looks like the weather will begin to warm up for next week. If temperatures drop below –20, we’ll be staying inside for recess/lunch. Otherwise, please ensure that your child is properly dressed for the weather!

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration opens January 15, 2024 and is done through School Engage. Students need to be 5 years old by December 31st 2023 in order to register for Kindergarten.

Report Cards

As has been the case the last few years, report cards will be made available in MyCBE the week of Jan. 30 - Feb. 2). More details will be available in the new year.

Adjustments to Grade Configurations at Abbeydale (2024-25)

As was announced earlier, Abbeydale School along with Dr. Gladys McKelvie Egbert will be going through grade configurations for the next school year. Beginning in September of 2024, Abbeydale School will become become Kindergarten – Grade 6 and Dr. Gladys McKelvie Egbert will become a Grade 7 – Grade 9 school. For more information, please refer to the communication sent on Thursday, Dec. 7.
